Lamb mince, fluffy basmati rice, peas, and fragrant spices are used in this quick and simple Keema Rice dish. You will adore this dish if you like keema biryani and keema pulao. It's ideal for a fast lunch or light meal. Spices from your cupboard and commonplace goods are used to make this dish.
I cook Chinese-style fried rice if I need a fast meal and have leftover rice. But today I'm creating an actual pulao-type keema fried rice in Indian style. It's fluffy, well-seasoned fried rice made using leftover basmati rice. It's possible that you'll never need to prepare keema pulao from scratch again.
What is Keema Rice, exactly?
Indian home cuisine at its finest Mincemeat, basmati rice, fragrant herbs, and spices are all cooked together in one pot to make Keema Rice. Keema Biryani is another name for it, and keema means mincemeat.
Lamb and beef mince are the most common mincemeats used in most recipes, but you may also use chicken, turkey, mutton, or any other ground meat you choose. The spices used and the cooking procedure are extremely similar to those of biryani, and making biryani from scratch takes at least an hour.
But how can you create 20-minute emergency keema rice? To create this quick meal, start with cooked rice and stir fry it with the other ingredients as usual fried rice. Make your own keema rice with the leftover stir-fried veggies from the fridge. This recipe is quite adaptable.
Gather all of the ingredients and get ready to make this delicious, full, and healthy dinner in just 20 minutes. With this simple recipe, you can make a great supper in a short amount of time. I can assure you of that.
We need the following ingredients
- What kind of rice should you use to create keema rice? Basmati rice or long grain rice are ideal for this dish since they have a fluffy texture When stir-fried, they become less starchy and sticky.
- Is it possible to use freshly cooked rice Place the newly cooked rice on a big tray or dish and refrigerate it for 1 to 2 hours before adding it to your stir fry.
- Is it okay if I use jasmine rice? To keep jasmine rice from becoming mushy, use day-old jasmine rice or use less water while cooking it in the rice cooker.
Lamb Mince - For this dish, I used lamb mince since it is softer and more tender than beef mince. However, using ground lamb, chicken, beef, or mutton is perfectly acceptable. Instead of mince/ground beef, you may use tiny chopped meat. If you don't want your fried rice to be oily, choose a thinner beef cut or one with less fat.
I used onion, tomatoes, and frozen green peas since this is a quick and simple meal. Cut any frozen or fresh stir fry veggies into tiny dice. Bell peppers, carrots, sweet corns, long beans, and mange tout are all good additions. Coriander and green chilies - To add extra flavor to the rice, add a handful of freshly chopped coriander and green chilies.
Spices You'll need a handful of spices, many of which are pantry classics that we use in our Indian curry dishes. Garam masala, cumin seeds, coriander powder, and a splash of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
How do you manufacture it?
Stir fry the onion and garlic for 1-2 minutes over medium-high heat, until the onion is tender Cook until the meat is no longer pink, then add the lamb mince and green chili.
After that, season to taste with the seasoning spices and salt and pepper Cook, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes are softened.
Combine the green peas, cooked rice and other ingredients in a large bowl. Cook for another 1-2 minutes. Taste the dish and add more salt and pepper if necessary. Remove the pan from the heat and place it in the chopped corridor. When the food is still hot, serve quickly.
Toss the rice, keema, and veggies in a large pan or wok over high heat. Bring leftover rice to room temperature before adding it to your fried rice if it's been in the fridge or freezer. As a result, it takes less time to warm up. Before you stir cook the rice, break up any lumps.
Don't throw all of the ingredients at once. As you're cooking for a large group, cook in batches if necessary. For lamb keema, use freshly grated ginger garlic. You may prepare this fried rice with keema dish if you have any leftover keema curry.
